Mergs World was originally published on www.mergsworld.blogspot.com and was an experiment in making a comic strip that was purely visual and without dialogue between characters. Influences for the city and its inhabitants include Metropolis, Alphaville and Yevgeny Zamyatin’s novel We.

Somewhere In Hell is a fable about a Demon Bird from Hell who is fed up with living at home eating the same old gruel. After being sent to his room for his unreasonable outburst, our Demon Bird leaves home and sets off to eat all the delicacies the world has to offer, not realizing the consequences which will befall a bird who follows his stomach before his brain.

Somewhere In Hell was originally published on my blog in 2 week installments. There are only currently 3 parts, more to come soon.

The Silent Beak

All chapters from 2010

Silent Beak represents a technical exercise in telling a story without speech and with the restriction of 12 frames (with some exceptions). The tale itself is set in a murky world of swamps and trees ruled by a mysterious emperor living in an ivory tower. The story begins with a brutal interrogation of a citizen of this world, just how will he escape
